Saturday saw Foley take the win in the Mens Junior Single at Trinity regatta. This is the third year in a row a Sligo athlete has won this title.

Sunday saw Adam Foley take to the waters of the Liffey once again, for Commercial regatta. Foley reached the final of the Mens Junior single and double, along side partenr Tom Rene McEnroe. While Foley didn't bring home any silverware from Commerical, he raced a total of six times on the 1200 meter course.

Tuesday night's AGM reported an operating deficit of 45,000 euros for the 2025 financial year.

That was slightly less than the 2024 loss figure (€49,000).

However, club officials warn that the spiralling costs in running a club and keeping up with the spend of other league of Ireland units means the heavy reliance on community fundraising and and volunteer-led club administration is not sustainable long-term.

Sligo's Mona McSharry has confirmed she wants to qualify for a third Olympic Games.

The Grange woman, who was conferred with the 'Freedom of County Sligo' on Tuesday, confirmed she is now targeting a place at the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028.
