The sporting cup runneth over, with World Cup football, darts, Wimbledon, US Open golf, State of Origin Rugby League, netball finals and of course yet another round of our favourite - AFL.

In the hotly contested Lenny's Fine Food Tipping Competition, Ken tipped the card in a form reversal to rival anything seen on a sporting field anywhere.

This week there's plenty of sport to discuss and Finey even went to the theatre.

While Finey explores the culinary delights of Singapore, it's an old school three ring circus and there is no shortage of clowns, that's for sure. There are no safety nets used here.

Roll on up under the Big Top (one of Stephen's recently laundered golf polos). Ken performs stunts, both cunning and not so. For Kev, it's the Tightrope and other Leon Russell songs. The grand finale is Stephen 'Danger is my middle name' Peak * and his amazing death defying fire eating and sword swallowing act. That is something to behold -especially as he washes it down with a seven course banquet from Fongs of Brighton - and in the show stopping finale finale with the wave of a sauce smeared chopstick, SJ peak becomes the elephant in the room. Ta Da! And to think the tattooed man missed all this.

With that in mind, we forge on regardless to discuss a wide and varied array of human connection points like football, cricket and death, as well as some lighter subjects like death, cricket and football.

Did someone say footy tripping? Did one, or even two panellists tip the card? Why are Finey and Kev smiling?

Musically, it is a murky trek back to April 1st 1983 and the iconic 3XY Top 40 of the day and the sea was angry that day, my friend, no April foolin'. Kilimanjaro was rising, cannibals were being eaten and Terry from Minder was belting out bad guys and the odd show tune.

Our musical analysis is resting like a good eye fillet or a opening batsman with a dodgy back. Our attention turns to the second part of the RnR culinary expedition. The snacks have been cleared and it is time for the entrée. Let us start by affirming our stance on what an entrée actually is.

Entrée in modern French table service - and for much of the English-speaking world - is a dish served before the main course of a meal.

There are two other definitions that may be handy as you digest this epiosde.

This show is more bat cave than conclave, more dope than Pope. Critics say Ruck 'n Roll is all the rage and they are right. Ken has been raging with ZZ Top and George Thorogood. Kev's raging about football commentary like patrons at a Tina Arena show and the jury is still deciding if Stephen J Peak was the victim or cause of four road rage incidents in one kilometre last Friday night as he scurried to his radio gig.

Musically, it is another Peak inspired choice with U2 coming under the RnR microscope. One man's Bono is another man's Bonox as they say.

It has come to the attention of the show's producers that certain members of the Ruck 'n Roll ensemble are NOT on drugs. How this was able to occur is the subject of an internal investigation and the findings will be made public - forthwith (whatever that means).

As for the actual program, Finey is off this week but is basking in the glory of his best week in the tipping. Ken has been to the Gilbert O'Sullivan show and loved it. Stephen J is ingesting hemp oil gummies which clearly are not performance enhancing and gives his two bobs' worth on clash jumpers and other things. Musically, Kev relives his 3XY days with a chart from May 6th 1983 which is equal parts funk, junk, pop and slop.

The freshly inked (again) Finey has his say on those remaining in the chase plus Peaky has his four cent worth, he is a lawyer after all. Words like precocious, obliteration, sphincter and tumultuous are good words and one day you might hear them on this show.

Musically we turn our attention to the over rated overseas musical stars and some tall poppies get their right wack. Sinatra, Streisand and Sting are superstars and as such don't rate a mention in this discussion. Wait till you hear who does.

After a wind delay (surprisingly not caused by Stephen J Peak) and some technical set backs this episode of Ruck n’ Roll is finally here, but Finey isn’t. The delectable delights of Lenny’s Fine Foods have not stolen him from our presence, in fact it was a school reunion. Those former grade three’s can be very persuasive, and who could say no to all that red cordial?

Meanwhile on the show, plenty of sport for our pontification (Thanks for the big word SJP). A moving tribute to a footy champion in the Deathalyser and the musical banter is to say the least, over rated. No, it really is.

The good news keeps coming. It is a delight to have Ken Francis back, Kev wasn’t washed ashore on an Inverloch beach like another ancient relic and Stephen J Peak wasn’t that relic.
