Vanessa Briscoe Hay is Athens Georgia music royalty. Her “first-wave” band PYLON helped create the Athens music scene and heavily influenced the 80’s & 90’s American pop underground. AllMusic wrote that Pylon's "role as elder statesmen of the alternative rock explosion is unassailable”.
Along with R.E.M. and the B-52’s, Pylon is part of the “Big Three of Athens Music” and were among the first artists to be enshrined on the new Athens Music Walk of Fame.
And Vanessa keeps the heart and soul of PYLON music moving into the future with her new band, the Pylon Reenactment Society. From their new debut album "Magnet Factory”, to her definitive PYLON collection simply titled “BOX”, to a scorching track on the upcoming Kevn Kinney Tribute Album - Hay is keeping her foundational music in a leadership role.

Farris got personal on his last record, “Silver & Stone” on Compass Records. The title referred to his wife Julie's wedding ring, and the album is a celebration of their 25+ years of marriage and her steadfastness in sticking by him through his years struggling with addiction and alcoholism.

Now sober for many years, Farris has the energy and conviction of a man saved, a stack of anecdotes and life experiences that would make most people’s heads spin, and a soulful vocal delivery reminiscent of Sam Cooke or Otis Redding.

In late 2009, Brit Turner, Drummer of the great Southern Rock Band Blackberry Smoke was on tour in Europe when he was given the devastating news that his daughter Lana had been diagnosed with Stage 4 neuroblastoma, a rare form of cancer that develops from nerve tissue.

Only 3 at the time, tumors had taken over 97 percent of Lana's body. Brit and his wife Shannon were devastated but resolved to fight the disease. After years of treatment, in 2011 The Turner family finally received the good news that Lana’s cancer had gone into remission. That was when Brit Turner made a commitment to ensuring the wellbeing of all children...

Since 2011, Blackberry Smoke has donated over $400,000 to childhood cancer organizations through the band’s meet & greet experiences purchased by fans. AND they’ve helped establish The Lana Turner foundation to use the power of music, art and community to promote and benefit children’s physical and mental wellbeing as they work to support families that are fighting children’s cancer - and work to find a cure.

And now - this coming SUNDAY MAY 22 - the the brothers Brit and Richard Turner of Blackberry Smoke are hosting their second "LTF Ride For A Cure" which will end with a HUGE party right here at "Live! at the Battery Atlanta!"

The Kentucky Headhunters were once considered the "Dark Horse of Country Music", due to the huge Country radio, press, and fan following the band achieved, despite their "Rock sound" and "rural Southern style”. Now they’re just considered one of the most influential Southern Country Rock Bands in history! In 1991, Entertainment Weekly wrote that although the band did not sell as many albums as contemporaries George Strait or Garth Brooks, "they may just end up redefining Country for the '90s" given the diverse range of influences and styles.” and Billboard called the band "arguably the most consistent and durable Southern Rock outfit on the planet.” The Kentucky Headhunters have released 8 studio albums and 23 singles. Their version of "Oh Lonesome Me,” went to #8 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts in 1990. They’ve won 3 CMA Awards (including twice being named the vocal group of the year), an ACM award, and a GRAMMY in 1990 for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group for their double-platinum album, "Pickin' on Nashville” And they are STILL GOING STRONG! The Kentucky Headhunters’ newest album titled "That's a Fact Jack!” was released in 2021 and they’ve announced over 40 tour dates for the summer and fall of 2022 ... Not a bad "Country Music career" for a Southern Rock Band from Glasgow, Kentucky who started off in the 70’s with a totally different name while recording for Led Zeppelin’s "Swan Song" record label! In 1969 the Allman Brothers Band, as the founders of what became known as Southern Rock, changed the course of popular American music and turned Macon into the recording hot bed of the '70s.

The band was formed by brothers Duane Allman (slide guitar and lead guitar) & Gregg Allman (vocals, organ, songwriting), Dickey Betts (lead guitar, vocals, songwriting), Berry Oakley (bass guitar), Butch Trucks (drums), and Jaimoe (drums).

The Big House Museum is an amazing place to visit! It was the house where members of the band, crew, friends and families lived until 1973. It was the gathering place in those early years when the magic that is the Allman Brothers Band was beginning to take shape…

Coming from Covington, Georgia, Drew Parker began singing at age 3in front of small church crowds. Over the years, he began to build his confidence and, at age 14, he decided to pick up a guitar and teach himself how to play songs from his inspirations, such as Keith Whitley, Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Travis Tritt, and Alan Jackson. At age 18, he expanded his musical abilities and learned to play piano, both of which he still uses today to craft his songs...

Parker made the move to Nashville, Tennessee in 2015 and signed a publishing deal with RiverHouse/WarnerChappell in 2017. He is a co-writer on Luke Combs’ debut platinum record “This Ones For You”, Jake Owen’s single “Homemade” and Luke Combs’ “1,2 Many”. Lily Rose is broke new ground in the Nashville music scene with her single, "Villain." On Dec. 1, 2020, Rose posted a clip of "Villain," a song about a break-up she believed ended cordially, only to find out she'd been painted as the 'bad guy' through social media. The song connected significantly with fans, and two weeks later Rose independently released "Villain" on Dec. 15. The single immediately rocketed to the top of the iTunes all-genre chart, where it held steady at No.1 above Taylor Swift's latest releases for several days and remained in the iTunes Top 30 for five consecutive weeks. One week after the release of "Villain," SiriusXM The Highway added the explosive track to full rotation.
Rose's reactive single "Villain" caught the attention of Big Loud Records / Back Blocks Music and Republic Records who signed her to a joint-venture record deal in Jan. 2021. Rose grew up in Atlanta as a self-taught drummer and guitarist but it wasn't until high school that she discovered her voice. As an athlete and distinguished singer, Rose had to decide which avenue to pursue. Bar sets and cover shows in her college town of Athens, GA led to headlining and sold out shows across Athens, Atlanta, Nashville and NYC, prompting her to make the move to Nashville in 2017. Her musical influences range from Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban and Bruce Springsteen to Katy Perry reflecting her innate ability to adopt a "futuristic" 21st century country sound. She currently resides in Nashville where she continues to write and record new music with a focus on melody and hook driven songwriting style, which has proven to resonate among country, pop and rock alike.
