-MetLife (MET) shares jump after second-quarter earnings surpassed Wall Street’s expectations. The chain removed the suspect jalapeños from all of its stores that received them as it was assisting on a Minnesota health department probe of the outbreak, an agency spokesperson told Bloomberg News. Of the 84 patients who were interviewed, 75 said they ate at Chipotle between mid-June and mid-July, the agency said.

- Uber (UBER) shares fell on news Alphabet's Waymo is exploring options to exit its robotaxi partnership with the rideshare service.
