Well, we know that the Australian electorate just can’t cop any more of Julia Gillard. They’ve had enough. But how much more is the Labor Party going to cop. Now we have this self-indulgent woman saying that Mal Brough must be disendorsed by Tony Abbott over what Ms Gillard described as a grossly sexist and offensive document, this is this menu business, a mock menu. So Julia Gillard could go all day on this. Even though Mr Brough said he had nothing to do with the menu and didn’t see it, even though Joe Hockey was there as a guest and said he didn’t see it. And this mealy-mouthed Rudd pretending he’s the hero of the Labor Party saying that it’s disgraceful stuff. But no, Gillard said it followed a pattern of behaviour from the Liberal Party. And Mr Abbott’s solution to this pattern of behaviour is not to show any leadership, he’s effectively stood by Mr Brough. “Mr Brough’s retaining his endorsement.  Presumably if Mr Abbott becomes Prime Minister Mr Brough will be a senior Minister in the Abbott Government,” and so she went on. Tony Abbott simply said that we should all be bigger than that. He said whether it’s a vulgar menu or squalid jokes told at a union conference. Remember the crudely sexist reference at a union fundraiser last year at which Julia Gillard and Wayne Swan were present when a vile joke was told about Tony Abbott’s female chief of staff, Peta Credlin. Oh, but don’t mention that. But nonetheless, Ms Gillard calls for Mal Brough to be disendorsed, even though the venue owner said it was a light-hearted joke and the menu was never given out on the night. Even though the owner said a staff member posted it on the social media, and I’ll come to all this in a moment. Even though Joe Hockey said he can’t recall ever seeing the menu. Joe Hockey said it was offensive. Joe Hockey said it was inappropriate. But no, then she went into full cry, her usual sexist, gender-driven misogynist rant by this appalling woman who has no sense of what it takes to lead the country. And then suggested that Mr Abbott may well make Mr Brough the Minister for the Office of Status of Women, and so it went on. Now again I’ll come to that in a moment.But just on the business about her performance the day before that women would be banished from politics because Mr Abbott wears a blue tie and that women in Mr Abbott’s team would be replaced by “men wearing a blue tie”. This is a misanthrope, this woman. She hates men and hates blue ties. Oddly enough, Mr Abbott was wearing a blue tie yesterday and so was Kevin Rudd. And rightly Tony Abbott said Ms Gillard was simply seeking to divide the nation. Tony Abbott said, “I’m the father of three daughters.  I’m the brother of three sisters.  The last thing any political leader should be doing is to try to divide Australians on the basis of class or gender or where people were born”. And he rightly said, Tony Abbott, “One of the problems with the current Prime Minister and the current Government is that with no record to run on, they’re playing on the politics of division”. I said yesterday that this is a woman so jealous and angry that the man she’s despised and sought to discredit, Tony Abbott, is about to give her one hell of a thrashing at the election. She’s now saying things that prove she’s utterly unfit for office. This is a woman seemingly ill with envy, jealousy, anger and the humiliation she’s facing. Humiliation brought on by her own incompetence. So the day before yesterday Tony Abbott was going to banish women’s office from the core of our nation’s political life.And then all this rubbish about blue ties.Anyone visiting the country would not believe this was a Prime Minister. Anyone visiting the country would believe that this was a person who is seriously in need of emotional and psychological help. You can’t talk like this. This is misanthropic rubbish and it’s an embarrassment to the nation and to the Labor Party. But ... what is the real story here. Well, my understanding is that the restaurant owner created a spoof menu as a private joke. Nobody saw it. A staff member snooped, found it, sent it to Ms Gillard and my information late last night is that she sat on it, if you’ll pardon the use of the phrase, until today. And why today, I suppose to take the focus off Mr Rudd’s visit to Sydney and what she said yesterday. Well she won’t appear on this programme, but will someone ask her when she first knew of this menu, how did she get hold of it, was it sent to her, who released it.But on what I’m being told, Brough exonerated, the Liberal Party exonerated and this woman playing yet again the grubbiest of games. I’ve said many times and I say it again, there is no limit to the depths to which this woman will sink in order to save herself.
