Citroen sales suffered last year, down 15%, with a tally of just 1106 units. The French company has a premium brand called the DS which is marketed alongside the standard car and light commercial Citroen range– The DS3, 4 and 5 models achieving just 12 sales nationally in December so its one of the rarer brands on the market. I have driven the 2016 DS5 DSport – a 2.0-litre turbo six-speed automatic five-door Sportback. Upgraded for this model year it gained a $5,000 price increase to $56,990, a pricing point that is really above its station.
